Prasad Gopalan is a seasoned business and people leader. He specializes in post-investment strategy delivery and change management. He has led complex changes, including rapid growth, post-acquisition integration, financial turnaround, arbitration and leadership transitions. He is a Certified Independent Director and a Fellow Life Member of the Institute of Directors, India.
Prasad started as a management trainee in a Murugappa Group and rose quickly through the ranks. In a short period, he became Chief Operating Officer at Proteck Circuit and Systems, followed by holding multiple leadership positions at the GMR Group. Starting his journey in the GMR Group by heading the Chairman’s Office, he later took charge as Head of leadership and Organization Development and then as the Chief Commercial Officer at GMR Male International Airport.
After gaining rich experience in the corporate world, Prasad decided to use his knowledge and skills in consulting various organizations. He has been a strategy consultant with various clients in India, Sri Lanka, and Maldives across multiple sectors, like hospitality, FMCG, wholesale and retail, Airlines, Manufacturing, Real estate and Infrastructure.
